The Bi-County Health Department reports Yuba-Sutter’s COVID death toll increased by another 5 yesterday, to 193.
Three of the deaths were Sutter County residents – 2 unvaccinated – one in their early 40s, the other in their late 80s. The third death was fully vaccinated and in their early 90s.
One Yuba County death was an unvaccinated resident in their mid 50s, the other, fully vaccinated in their early 60s.
There were 1,449 active Yuba-Sutter cases yesterday: 60 hospitalized, 17 in ICU.
The Bi-County Health Department also updated our current vaccination rates: 49.8% fully, 8.68% partially.
Separately, Sutter County is at 53.82% fully vaccinated, Yuba County is at 44.52%.
They also report that to date, 95.4% of all Yuba-Sutter COVID-related hospitalizations have been un-or-partially vaccinated, accounting for 95.35% of the local deaths so far.
