(Oroville, CA) – An AT&T fiber cut in Oroville yesterday morning disrupted emergency phone services to “multiple agencies in the North State” according to The Chico Enterprise-Record. That included 911 dispatch at the Butte County Sheriff’s office and Chico Police Department, as well as Enloe Medical Center, Butte College and the Chico School District.

By 11:30 yesterday morning, full service was restored.

During the outage, 911 texts were still reportedly being received.

An AT&T spokesperson released a statement afterward saying “We have completed repairs to a fiber cut in Oroville that disrupted call service in the area. Our technicians worked quickly to make repairs and service is now operating.”

At this time, there is no information as to what led to the cut in services.
