(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – The Yuba City Police Department reports fentanyl, meth, cocaine and a loaded firearm seized during a high-risk vehicle stop early last Friday morning. An officer spotted 36-year-old Eugene Oliver, wanted on an active warrant “for violent charges” according to a press release, “leaving his residence in a vehicle.”
Oliver was taken into custody after being stopped “near Wilbur Avenue and Franklin Avenue” and surrendering to K9 Riggs. A female passenger, 43-year-old Veronica Ortiz, and two juveniles were also in the vehicle. A loaded firearm was found in her waistband and the two juveniles were released to a family member.
In addition to the firearm, the release adds “officers located 28 grams of methamphetamine, 9.82 grams of cocaine, 4.85 grams of fentanyl, around 70 M-30 pills, digital scales, and packaging materials.”
