(Butte County, CA) – Butte County Sheriff’s Detectives & Deputies locatedĀ  – and reincarcerated – escaped jail inmate Miles Bondley last evening at around 6:10. He was found as investigators were following up on leads in the South Oroville area where Bundley was spotted and after “a brief foot pursuit” he was “safely taken into custody.”

The 34-year-old escaped just over one week ago by climbing the roof next to the exercise yard, after he had covered a camera with toilet paper. He was able to climb the 12-foot concrete block wall and pry open a gap in a chain link mesh that covers the exercise yard, according to the sheriff, who tells Action News that changes are being made to the yard, which was built in 1963.
