EMERGENCY AIRCRAFT LANDING IN SUTTER COUNTY

A single engine aircraft with 3 people aboard out of Bob Hope Burbank Airport Tuesday, bound for a private Sutter County airstrip, ran out of fuel prior to the pilot’s destination and was forced to make an emergency landing, deploying a ballistic rescue parachute,” according to the Chair of the Sutter Buttes Regional Aviation Association. The aircraft finally landed in an agricultural field. No one was injured and the plane reportedly sustained only minor damage.
