DATA SHOWS SOME CALIFORNIANS FOLLOWED STAY-AT-HOME ORDER ON NYE

New data shows that some Californians followed the state’s stay-at-home orders on New Year’s Eve.  Governor Gavin Newsom said Monday that mobility data for the holiday was down 23-percent compared to pre-pandemic months last year.  That’s the most mobility has been down since late March.  However, coronavirus deaths have reached new daily records and health officials are still bracing for the expected surge after the holidays.
