At a special meeting of the Colusa School Board last Friday morning, they accepted the resignation of Superintendent Jeff Turner, who was hired less than a year and a half ago – in February of 2020. In a press release Turner said β€œin light of COVID-19 I have reflected on my 27 year commitment to public education and would like to refocus my attention on my family and explore other professional possibilities.”

Turner becomes the third local school superintendent in just over a month to resign, following Marysville’s Gary Cena last week and Yuba City’s Doreen Osumi April 1st.
