The US Forest Service says the massive Beckwourth Complex Fire is now 73-percent contained, just west of the Nevada border.

The blaze has consumed more than 95-thousand acres in the Plumas National Forest, east of Quincy.  The lightning-caused fires broke out between June 30th and July 2nd, and have since merged into one blaze.

The Plumas County Sheriff says mandatory evacuations remain for residents near Frenchman Lake, Doyle Grade, and Dixie Valley.  There are evacuation warnings along Highway 70 in Plumas County to the Lassen County line.
