ARRESTS MADE IN ATTEMPTED FIREBOMBING OF CHICO STATE POLICE DEPARTMENT

Three arrests have been made in Sunday’s pre-dawn attempted firebombing at the Chico State Police Station. The first attempt, at 2:30 in the morning involved planter boxes out front being set on fire. Then, 2 hours later a suspect in a black hooded sweatshirt is seen on surveillance video lighting a Molotov cocktail and attempting to set a squad car in the garage ablaze, before an officer gives chase. Because an incendiary device was used. FBI assisted in the investigation and 3 Chico residents were arrested: 20-year-old Autumn Cossins, 20-year-old Clarissa Volasgis and 21-year-old Jesus Magana.
