(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – Yuba County’s Code Enforcement Manager has presented the abatement department’s annual report to the Board of supervisors, saying they closed “around 600” cases last year and opened 506 new cases. The current active caseload is 376, as it was noted, that number is significantly lower than 2022 into 2023, which carried over “an excess of 1,200 active cases.”
Of 2023’s new cases, 63 were in Plumas Lake, 109 in Olivehurst and 116 in Linda, with 80 buildings county-wide deemed unsafe to occupy.
In total, “nearly 120 tons” of waste & debris were removed and “over 66,000 marijuana plants” seized.
