(Yuba-Sutter, CA) — The coldest winter storm of the season is heading to California.

Both a winter Storm Warning and Wind Advisory take effect today in Yuba-Sutter, with a 60% chance of rain / snow today, 100% tonight and 80% tomorrow. Accumulation of snow is expected in the foothills. As well, wind gusts are expected to be as high as 39mph thru tomorrow.

Coastal areas and valleys should be prepared to see four-to-five inches of rain through Saturday. The San Fernando Valley, Santa Clarita Valley, and La Crescenta could see snow. A rare blizzard warning is also in effect for Los Angeles and Ventura counties as the storm approaches.
