(Sacramento, CA) — California lawmakers want to strengthen existing concealed carry weapon laws. State Senator Anthony Portantino made an announcement yesterday about legislation he authored called Senate Bill 2. It would set standards on getting a concealed carry weapon permit in the state.

The restrictions would include a minimum age of 21-years-old to receive the permit and safe community places where people should expect freedom from gun violence.
