A busy day of sentencing in Yuba County Court yesterday: 44-year-old Bryan Adams of Visalia received 43-to-life after pleading no contest to the stabbing death of his wife Christine at a Challenge residence March 10th.

39-year-old Zach Williams was sentenced to 48-to-life after he also pleaded no contest to attempted murder, kidnapping and assault with a firearm in connection with a shooting March 22nd in Oregon House. Two other suspects in the case are scheduled for trial beginning November 2nd.

And 24-year-old Moe Nanlap of Linda was sentenced to 115-to-life after being found guilty by a jury of the murder of 42-year-old Curtis Hicks and injuring his wife Jolene in a shooting Thanksgiving of 2019. Nanlap was in a relationship with the Hick’s daughter at the time, with whom he has 3 children according to The Appeal-Democrat.

    1. Maybe it will deter people from taking these kinds of actions! We need to do something to curb crime! It may be a little excessive but better excessive than not enough when it comes to murder and Mayham! We need to turn the tide in the United States from all this hate & violence to legally law abiding citizens

    2. they should have just given him life, but the nature of his crime was very heinous! He came over to Curtis Hicks house and killed him, and shot his wife Thanksgiving morning while they had family there. Nunlap is the father of three kids of Curtis’ daughter, so these kids have to grow up knowing their father that dirtbag killed their grandfather and shot their grandmother! in front of thm!
