YCPD TARGETS 7 STREETS IN ‘SPEED AWARENESS PROGRAM’

With all the complaints about bad drivers, speeding, texting while driving and so on – Yuba City Police are doing something about it: Seven streets have been targeted for the month of December in the Department’s Neighborhood Speed Awareness Program. Drivers ticketed on those 7 street will be eligible for a special class instead of paying off the citation. The streets included are Forbes Avenue, Olive Street, Market Street, Plumas, Bryn Mawr Drive, Railroad Avenue and Ruth Drive.

  1. I sure wish Franklin Ave from Wilbur to Garden Highway was one of them. It’s a virtual race track and there are so many pedestrians along this route. Kids walking to school and all fairgrounds activity. You could write 100 tickets a day here!

I wish there was police watching the cars speeding around the off ramp coming into linda someone is going to get hit because pedestrians have to cross without a stop sign or light we have to run across and tbose yellow things they have out there dont matter to some drivers i would just feel safer if there was a light
