MARYSVILLE FIRE DEPARTMENT FIGHTS 2 EARLY MORNING FIRES

Busy 24-hours for the Marysville Fire Department: An early morning fire, around midnight yesterday, near the Catholic Cemetery burning parts of a homeless encampment and surrounding brush. The smell of smoke reported all over Marysville – However, no injuries reported. That was followed at 4:30am when a big-rig caught fire, at 12th and B Streets. Several tires exploded due to the flames, closing Highway 70 (B Street) for a few hours. Again, no injuries reported.
